Brides Les Bains Information

“The Gateway” yes Brides Les Bains is perfect to access some of Europe’s great ski resorts Courchevel, Meribel, Saint Martin Bellville and Val Thorens to name a few are all part of the area Brides (BLB) belongs to, The legendary 3 Valleys.

Saying that, this ancient spa town still manages to keep its own unique identity, located below Meribel you can access the vast area from the town centre Gondola.

Due to the location of The Grand Spa Thermal the town is littered with 3 and 4 star hotels, a good collection of restaurants and bars most offering live music. ( be warned if your after all night action this is not the place)

There is a tourist office located in the main square where the staff are really friendly and helpful, make this one of the first place to visit where they will provide you with all you need to know, information on the free shuttle bus and on Tuesday nights a free bus to Meribel and back, normally midnight and if you have 4 or more in your group a taxi is viable. TIP: Make Tuesday the day to do happy hour, Folie douce, The Rond point and get the bus back about 8.

We recommend renting a locker by the gondola in BLB this will save carrying all your ski equipment back and forth

Brides Les Bains as mentioned is a Spa town dating back to Roman times and has been refurbished over the last few years which means they now offer a huge range of treatments ranging from seaweed wraps, hammam scrubs saunas and facials. We would also recommend a visit to the Spa located within the Mercure hotel.

You can also take a short drive to the resorts on the ski resorts page, and spend a day or 2 skiing some of the best resorts in the world.

Resorts such as La Plagne and Tignes all have lower ski stations, which means that you do not need to drive to the centre of these resorts you can park low and at the end of the day you can stay in the resort until close, this also gives you the advantage of skiing all the way down to the lower ski station at the end of the day.

Also from Champagny you can access the Paradiski area which again means at the end of the day it’s all downhill back to Champagny.
